Natural Resources Management Act Signed, PHIT Act Reintroduced
As expected, President Trump signed into law the Natural Resources Management Act that permanently reauthorizes the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund and which had passed the Senate 92-8 and the House 363-62 in February. The bill included a laundry list of industry priorities and the OIA hailed its as containing “some massive wins for America’s public lands and the outdoor industry,” including funding the Every Kid Outdoors program, the 21st Century Conservation Corps and enhancements to outdoor recreation infrastructure.
