Manchester City Faces Suspension from Champions League
Fresh off a new £650 million ($846.7 mm) 10-year deal with Puma, the current number two team in the EPL standings was banned by UEFA from the Champions Cup for the next two seasons as the sport’s governing body for Europe ruled that it broke the rules on financial constraints and misled authorities during the investigation. It was also fined £25 million. City has strenuously denied the charges and vows to appeal, presumably to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
