Keds Sues Hanesbrands over Champion License


Keds and SR Holdings are suing Hanesbrands in MA federal court, accusing its long-time licensing partner of trying to use trademark litigation to negotiate better terms for the Champion footwear license. Keds’ license to use the Champion name on sneakers pre-dates HBI’s acquisition of the brand, and the license renews automatically every five years.
