Kawhi Leonard Sues Nike over Hand Logo
The Raptors star says that Nike filed a copyright registration for a logo that he designed based on a tracing of his extremely large hand, and is now seeking to prevent him from using it. The suit, filed in So. CA District Court, alleges that Leonard authored the unique logo in 2011, just after being drafted to the NBA, by tracing an outline of his hand and drawing stylized versions of his initials “KL” and his number “2” inside the outline.
