Johnson Outdoors Profit Improves in FQ1


Net income in the fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 27 surged 83% to $6,430,000 from $3,521,000 on 23% higher sales of $128,054,000 up from $104,440,000 in the seasonally slow period. Fishing segment sales jumped 26% to $99.3 million lapping last year’s delay in new product availability, and generated operating income of $15.0 million, up 31%.
