John Donahoe Named CEO of Nike, Parker to Executive Chairman


John Donahoe, current president and CEO of ServiceNow, Inc. and a Nike board member since 2014, will take over on Jan. 13 when Mark Parker, CEO since 2006 and chairman since 2016 when co-founder Phil Knight stepped down, will become executive chairman. Donahoe, along with Parker, Knight and Nike director Alan Graf, is also a director of Swoosh LLC, the entity that controls most of Nike’s voting stock electing 10 of the 14 directors. Nike’s stock prices eased slightly on the news.
