Some 160 trade organizations including all the major sporting goods ones asked President Trump to delay imposition on new tariffs Sep. 1 and Dec. 15, and some 209 footwear companies sent a separate letter from the FDRA pointing out specific reasons why their industry would suffer disproportionately.
