Iconix Had a Year of Transition in 2016
Iconix Brand Group CEO John Haugh, who took the reins last spring after a tumultuous year of management departures and accounting issues, laid out the steps he’s taken and the work left to do for investors at the ICR conference. The executive and board member turnover at ICON is mostly complete, leaving three main strategic priorities: Focus on core growth improving comps at existing retailers rather than growing through new outlets and acquisitions; manage brands intelligently as a portfolio, rather that being too acquisitive; and maintain control and manage the company’s over-levered balance sheet.
