Global Sports Apparel Market Rebounds 30%


Branded athletic apparel sales came roaring back from pandemic lows last year, jumping 30.4% in 2021 to $114,153 million after dropping 10.4% the year before to $87,567 million, with all but four companies posting double-digit improvement. The gains are even more impressive than the athletic footwear segment, which bounced back sooner than apparel, but fell short with a 26.4% year-over-year increase. The U.S. market, almost fully re-opened from Covid shutdowns for the entire year, increased 32% to $49,328 million from $37,290 million. Europe did even better, growing 33% to $28,848 million ...
