The Journeys parent turned a profit of $577,000 in its smallest volume quarter against a loss of $15,000 last year on revenues that inched down to $486,573,000 from $487,015,000, but comps were up 3% overall, lapping last year’s +6% comp. Store comps were up just 1% though, with the rest of the increase coming from a 20% jump in e-commerce, which now represents 10.4% of sales. The bottom line included $1.2 million of impairment charges and lease termination costs net of tax this year, and adjusted earnings were $2,456,000 against a loss of $202,000 last year.
