FTC Complaint Filed Against Smith & Wesson Marketing


The father of a victim at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and two gun control groups have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission about the marketing practices of Smith & Wesson charging that the gun company used video game-like advertising for AR-15 guns in an effort to appeal to teenagers and young adults and adds that the advertising played a “significant role” in the mass shooting that killed his daughter.
