FTC Clamps Down on Fake “Made in USA” Sporting Goods
The agency reached settlements with Patriot Puck and Sandpiper of California that will prohibit them from making false U.S.-origin claims for their products. Patriot, based in New York, advertised its Chinese-made hockey pucks as “100% Made in the USA!,” “100% American Made!” and “#AmericanMade,” according to an FTC blog post.
