Foot Locker Has Strong Q4, but Taxmas Delay Hits Q1


Net income jumped 20% to $189 million from $158 million for the final quarter ended Jan. 28 on a 5% increase in sales to $2,113 million compared to $2,007 million last year, driven by a 5.0% comp store sales gain. The quarter’s results were helped by a net $7 million tax benefit this year against a $5 million charge against Runners Point Group last year.
