A strong 6.9% comp store gain paired with expense leverage propelled Big Foot to a 15% increase in net earnings of $120 million, including $1 million of Runners Point Group integration charges, against $104 million for the Back-to-School quarter ended Nov. 1. Sales rose 7% to $1,731 million compared to $1,622 million, with the brick-and-mortar stores seeing a 6% increase and the DTC segment showing a 16% increase, the latter led by another near 40% increase in the store banners’ dotcom businesses.
