Fitbit Splits Focus Between Consumer, Enterprise
In preparation for its pivot towards smartwatches, FIT said it was aligning the company into two divisions: Consumer Health and Fitness and Enterprise Health, with the former focused on consumer devices and the latter to grow its business with insurance companies, employers and the healthcare industry. 2017 is expected to be a transition year as the company develops new, more full-featured fitness devices and supporting software and services.
