Net income jumped 44% to $23,770,000 from $16,553,000 on a 10% rise in sales to $170,779,000 from $155,274,000 with continuing strength in the Minn Kota motors and Humminbird electronics driving results. The fishing business saw sales improve 17% to $121,920,000 from $103,974,000 and operating income jump 36% to $33,044,000 from $24,293,000, accounting for almost all of the improvement. Camping, with some new products from Jetboil, also showed improvement with sales up 15% to $13,915,000 from $12,129,000 and operating income up 48% to $2,154,000 from $1,452,000.
