Handgun imports increased 6% to 357,041 units in August, slowing from recent months’ double-digit pace, with pistols up 6% to 329,988 units and revolvers down 2% to 27,053 units, according to ITC data compiled by the NSSF. Rifle imports increased significantly, however, growing 50% to 108,873 units, and shotguns increased by 45% to 167,293.
