Firearms Imports Slow in January as Ammo Continues Momentum
Gun imports growth slowed towards the end of the year, and that trend continued in Jan., with handgun imports inching 1% lower to 334,233 units as a slight gain in pistols was not enough to offset the 21% decline in revolvers, according to ITC data compiled by the NSSF. Rifle imports were up 29% to 84,180 units, while shotgun imports declined sharply at 48% to 137,402 units.
