Firearm Imports Up, Exports Down in October


Imports of handguns increased 17% to 286,431 units according to ITC data compiled by the NSSF, with pistols up 18% and revolvers gaining 1%, while rifle imports surged 55% to 77,447 units and shotgun imports were up 29% to 76,193. Ammunition imports were mixed, as other cartridges decreased 4% to 169.1 million units, but shotshell imports jumped 49% to 19.6 million units.
