The Dick’s Sporting Goods CEO has conducted focus groups to test the idea of a third party candidacy in the 2020 Presidential election, according to a story in Politico. The focus groups were given various voting scenarios in which Stack was portrayed as “showing leadership” with his decision to halt the sale of assault rifles after the Parkland shooting. Some two dozen participants were asked to cast theoretical votes on a matchup among Stack, Joe Biden and Trump and another matchup among Stack, Elizabeth Warren and Trump.
