The online seller, noted for being a marketplace of fakes, has teamed up with Sneaker Con to begin authenticating purchases of sneakers over $100. Originally an event promoter for sneakerheads, Sneaker Con has moved into the digital sales space recently but lacked the kind of traffic that eBay can muster, so this seems like an alliance that will benefit both sides in their battle against GOAT and StockX, the two companies that now dominate the resale market estimated at $2 billion now but projected to grow to $6 billion by 2025.
