Domestic Industry Grew 2.9% In 2017
The wholesale value of the U.S. sporting goods industry reached $90,224 million compared to $87,717 million prior, according to a study conducted by Sports Marketing Surveys for the SFIA. The study was based on reported wholesale shipments by members and supported by further research. That represented a slight improvement over the 2.0% growth rate of the prior year and was also modestly faster than to 2.3% growth rate of U.S. GDP for 2017 and the 1.5% growth recorded in 2016.
