Net income came in at $27,407,000 against a loss of $38,356,000 for the second quarter ending Aug. 3, as revenue was up 8% to $860,198,000 from $795,268,000 despite an overall comp sales decline of 0.6% compared to a 9.7% increase last year. The acquired businesses performed above expectations and plans are on track to assume U.S. retail segment private label sourcing.
