Expectations for the relaunch of the Outdoor Retailer Show in Denver were modest from the beginning but even those low hurdles weren’t cleared as the handful of significant brands that planned to attend largely pulled out just before the show when the new Delta virus surge hit the country. Most of the major brands that have been the backbone of the show for years never had any serious intention of coming. A collection of vendors that hitherto were on the outskirts of the show occupied key locations in a widely spaced out exhibit floor.
