Delta Apparel Grows Fashion Basics, Digital
Net income inched up 2% to $4,550,000 from $4,468,000 in the fiscal third quarter ended Jun. 30 while sales gained 8% to $112,182,000 from $104,281,000 as DLA continues to grow its higher-ASP fashion basics business. Gross margin expanded 20 basis points to 21.6% from better basics segment margins. Basics revenue increased 14% to $89.7 million, driven by higher-margin fashion basics products that boosted segment gross margin 140 b.p. to 18.0%.
