Delta Apparel Gains Driven by Digital Printing


Net income gained 48% to $3,107,000 in the final fiscal quarter ended Sep. 29 from $2,099,000 helped by 240 basis points higher gross margins at 20.6%, as sales inched 2% higher to $92,922,000 from $91,327,000. Hurricane Florence shut down two of DLA’s distribution centers for eight days costing an estimated $3 million of missed sales. During the quarter, it acquired another digital print company, SSI Digital Print Services, which will add its $15 million in annual revenues to DTG2Go and be the company’s sixth vertical print and fulfillment facility in operation.
