President Biden’s pick to lead the Department of the Interior couldn’t be more different from her predecessor, receiving broad support from environmental and outdoor industry groups and now winning 51-40 confirmation by the Senate. The former U.S. Representative (D-NM) is a member of that state’s Laguna Pueblo, and is the first Native American cabinet secretary ever.
