Crocs Moves to Grow Sales after Turnaround
Crocs’ momentum has accelerated through Back-to-School, driven by strong sandal sales along with traditional clogs, it said in a presentation to the Goldman Sachs retail conference. Clogs are its most profitable shoes and still represent about half of the top line, while sandals have grown rapidly to about 20% of total sales in just the past two years. Direct e-commerce, wholesale through e-tailers, and sales through online marketplaces are the main focus now as it pivots from the substantially completed operational improvements of the past few years to growing sustainable, profitable revenue.
