Covid Outbreaks and Chinese Response Hit Supply Chain


Shenzhou International Group, which is a major apparel supplier to Nike, Adidas and other sportswear brands, reported last week that a Covid Delta variant outbreak in Beilun District, Ningbo, forced it to suspend production at some of its factories. According to the company, local government-imposed lockdown and isolation measures shuttered a number of facilities including a garment plant, a dyeing and finishing plant, a knitting plant, a printing plant and an accessory plant, as well as a shoe fabric plant.
