Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which were postponed last week by the International Olympic Committee in cooperation with the Japanese government, will tentatively begin on July 23, 2021, and run through Aug 8. According to a statement from IOC president Thomas Bach, the revised timeframe was approved by the various international sports federations, and a full-year delay will give health authorities more time to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.
