Court Finalizes Consigned Vendor Payments in TSA Case


Over the strenuous objections of the term loan creditor, which had asserted its priority over the goods that were shipped on consignment to The Sports Authority, the DE bankruptcy court essentially finalized its interim order that provided for consignment vendors to be paid per the terms of their contracts. The goods remain the subject of some 160 cases between TSA and the vendors, but the practical effect of the order means that the retailer can continue selling the goods under dispute and pay vendors the percentage specified in the contracts.
