Clarus Finishes Record Year Boosted by Acquisitions


Net income nearly doubled in the final quarter to $14,046,000 from $7,069,000, on revenues that grew 56% to $118,183,000 from $75,947,000, helped by $23.8 million and $1.7 million from 2021 acquisitions Rhino-Rack and Maxtrax, respectively. Outdoor segment sales, which include the legacy Black Diamond business and climbing brands, grew 17% to $65.1 million, Precision Sport sales of Sierra and Barnes bullets and ammunition was up 37% to $27.6 million, and the new Adventure segment with Rhino-Rack and Maxtrax added the rest.
