Chinese Brands Post Double-Digit Q1 Sales Gains
Li Ning and 361 Degrees Int’l, which only release full financials for the half- and full-year, provided sales updates for the first quarter of 2022. Li Ning, which is China’s second-largest native sportswear brand behind only Anta Sports, saw comparable sales grow low-twenties in Q1, excluding its Li Ning Young sub-brand. Same store sales were up mid-twenties at directly operated retail stores, while wholesale sales to franchisees increased low-teens, and e-commerce sales grew mid-thirties.
