China, U.S. Announce Phase One Trade Deal But Details Are Sketchy
The outlines of the deal call for China to more than double its purchases of agricultural products from the U.S. in exchange for a delay in the planned increase on $200 billion worth of imports from 25% to 30% this month, but the exact details of the deal have yet to be confirmed by China and the discussions have not tackled either the existing duties on List 4A nor do they address the upcoming Dec. 15 duties on List 4B, which include the vast majority of sporting goods products imported from China.
