Callaway Sees Strong Equipment Sales Drive Q3


Net income grew 69% in the third quarter to $52,432,000 from $31,048,000 on revenues that were 12% higher at $475,559,000 up from $426,217,000 in its first quarter lapping incremental Jack Wolfskin sales. The golf equipment segment’s sales soared 27% to $267.3 million and it contributed $56.8 million in EBIT, up 146%, but apparel, gear and other sales slipped 3% to $208.3 million, and segment EBIT fell 26% to $25.9 million.
