Just a few weeks after closing on the sale of the former Nike subsidiary, Bluestar Alliance has already shaken up the Costa Mesa headquarters with news that it will transform Hurley from a wholesale operation to a licensed business beginning with the Spring 2021 line, according to ShopEatSurf. It has already licensed the men’s business in the U.S. to United Legwear, women’s to Hybrid Apparel and swimwear to Inmocean. Some of the 175 employees will be transferring over to the licensees. Meanwhile, Bluestar has been looking to jettison athlete contracts as part of its restructuring.
