Black Diamond Sees Uptick in Momentum


In reporting a net loss of $1,455,000 against a loss of $4,013,000 on a 9% increase in sales to $21,337,000 from $19,617,000 for Q1, BDE said it was seeing signs that its most recent restructuring is starting to bear fruit as it had growth in all its major product categories and geographies. It remains encouraged about the growth in its apparel sales, though they remain just 10% of sales, and also is seeing improvements in its supply chain which has raised gross margin 90 b.p. to 29.6% while improving deliveries.
