Bankruptcy Court Allows Remington Auction to Proceed
The AL bankruptcy court denied a motion by plaintiffs in two high profile lawsuits against the gun-maker, to delay a scheduled auction of the assets free and clear of liabilities, apparently meaning that the case brought by the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre may not get their day in court. The Sandy Hook group originally asked the court to include them on the unsecured creditors committee but then withdrew that motion in favor of asking the court to appoint a separate committee of tort claimants.
