Firearm imports as reported by the NSSF were broadly higher for the month, led by a 22% increase in shotgun imports to 68,076 and a 16% gain in rifle imports to 45,490 units. Handgun imports increased 9% to 198,258 units including an 11% increase in pistols to 175,895 units that more than offset an 8% decline in revolvers to 22,363 units.
