Athleta Targets $2 Billion in 2023 Revenues
Athleta CEO Mary Beth Laughton mapped out the women’s fitness brand’s path to doubling sales over the next three years during Gap Inc.’s 2020 investor meeting. Laughton said domestic women’s athletic apparel is outpacing total women’s apparel in growth by 14 points and that the brand can deliver sales gains on full price selling and limited discounting. Runways for growth include brand awareness, where internal data shows just 53% awareness among U.S. active women, and retail footprint.
