Athleta Comps Jump Higher In Q4, Gap To Spin Old Navy
The women’s athletic apparel chain continued its strong growth trend in the final quarter, comping up nearly 30% lapping Q4 ‘17’s mid-20s improvement, with the girls’ business leading the way with a 60% comp. Athleta received B Corp certification for meeting social sustainability and environmental performance standards during the quarter, which was credited with helping to boost its active customer database by 20%. Hill City, Athleta’s men’s performance lifestyle line, was also launched in Q4. Athleta opened 13 more stores in Q4, ending the year with 161, a pace that will continue through 2019.
