Asics Results Hit by Americas Weakness


Asics posted a loss of ¥20,327 million ($184.0 mm) against income of ¥12,970 million for the FY ended Dec. 31 as sales declined 3% to ¥386,662 million ($3,499.3 mm) from ¥399,108 million. The results were hit with a net extraordinary loss of ¥23.0 billion ($208.2 mm) for a revaluation in Q4 of overseas assets which more than wiped out an ordinary income profit of ¥8.7 billion this year, down from ¥21.7 billion last year.
