As Shutdown Drags On, Outdoor Industry Feels the Pain


With no negotiations scheduled and the partial government shutdown already the longest in history, outdoor industry leaders are becoming increasingly vocal about the impact it is having on the national parks and the many businesses that are dependent on those resources for their livelihoods. A number have voiced sentiments that don’t explicitly blame either side for the stand-off but urge both sides not to hold the National Park System hostage to a political debate and do long-term harm to the parks in the process.
