Appeals Court Upholds Flyknit Patents
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit upheld Nike’s patents 7,814,598 and 8,266,749, which Adidas had challenged as obvious and unpatentable in 2016. The USPTO’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board ruled in Feb., 2019 that The Big a had not met the burden of proof necessary to invalidate a number of claims the Eager Beavertons’ made in the two patents.
