Just five years after embarking on a diversification program from firearms into outdoor and changing its name to reflect that three years ago, American Outdoor Brands will spin off its gun business in a tax free transfer to shareholders that will create a standalone firearms business under the Smith & Wesson name that will have expected revenues in 2021 of $450-500 million and adjusted EBITDA of $90-105 million and an outdoor products business with sales of $200-210 million and adjusted EBITDA of $25-30 million, including an incremental $2-2.5 million in new public company costs.
