American Outdoor Brands’ Wholesale Drives FQ1 Gains


Net income increased 93% to $3,457,000 over $1,789,000 on revenues that gained 20% to $60,768,000from $50,468,000 for the fiscal first quarter ended July 31. The top line benefited from continued outdoorism trends, with 16 of 20 brands in the portfolio delivering growth over the prior year. Traditional channels (brick and mortar wholesale) grew 70% over the prior year to $44.2 million on store re-openings vs. last year. E-commerce channels (e-retail wholesale and DTC) dropped 32% to $16.6 million as AOB lapped a massive one time replenishment of inventory to a large online retailer earlier in the pandemic that scaled back ...
