Amazon Prime Day Haul Eclipsed Black Friday and Cyber Monday
The e-commerce goliath said that its sales on the two days of Prime Day, Jul. 15-16, were higher that its combined sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday last year, but of course did not release actual sales figures. Of the 175 million items purchased during the event, AMZN touted sales of its Fire and Alexa connected devices, as well as technology items, though it did not break out sales of footwear, apparel or sporting goods. It did note that its small and medium-sized marketplace sellers sold over $2 billion of products over the two days.
