Adobe: Holiday Online Sales Gained 14.7%
Total online spending for the 2017 Holiday season hit a record $108.2 billion, according to Adobe Analytics, up from $94.4 billion the year before and surpassing the 14.4% growth rate from 2015 to 2016. Mobile continued to accelerate in importance, with phones and tablets accounting for 52% of traffic and 33.1% of sales at $35.9 billion, up 28% from 2016. Cyber Monday also set an all-time record for online sales at $6.6 billion, and e-commerce sales over the five-day period from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday jumped 15.2% to $19.6 billion.
