Academy Appoints Ken Hicks Chairman and CEO
Hicks led Foot Locker’s turnaround after the recession, joining the retailer in 2009 and executing an aggressive five-year plan that ultimately sent the top line to over $6 billion and the share price up 600% after closing unprofitable stores and trimming expenses. He went out on top, departing FL in 2014 and turning the reins over to Dick Johnson.
